Design analysis of rigid pavement in the municipality of Arauquita, Department of Arauca.
Abstract
Due to the fact that the roads in the Municipality of Arauquita, Department of Arauca, in which race 2A between streets 9 and 11 are being studied, because they are in an inadequate state for the transit of vehicles, it is necessary to carry out the structural design and analysis of a rigid pavement for this sector in the Araguaney neighborhood. According to the pavement design where an analysis is made and results are obtained such as: the design does not contemplate the use to reinforce the slabs, only steel will be used in the segments and in the anchor bars, in cases where this is required; sealing of joints and fissures is required; surface waters were handled longitudinally; occupying a drainage area of 1,085 ha. Rainwater will be handled superficially with longitudinal slopes until it is conveyed to nearby roads according to the flow calculation; the rational method was used for the projected design in accordance with the RAS-2000. Excess rainwater runoff can be evacuated without increasing peak flows; as a result, the design flow was 0.1469 m3/s; the pavement width is 7.60 m divided into 2 lanes; the minimum joint opening is 10-15 mm wide; its structure has ½" diameter bars at its anchorage with a length of 85 cm, separated every 1.20 m and 7/8" transverse rods separated every 30 cm and a length of 35 cm.
