Türkiye’de Halkın Yabancı Dil İle İlgili Algıları

Abstract


Bu çalışmada Türkiye’de yaşayan insanların yabancı dil ile tutumları araştırılmıştır. Anketlerin cevaplanmasında önemli etken, Türkiye’nin her bölgesinde çeşitli yaşlardan bayan ve baylara ulaşabilmek için farklı illerden Atatürk Üniversitesi İngilizce öğretimi bölümünü kazanmış öğrencileridir. Yirmi bir sorudan oluşan ve yabancı dilin çeşitli boyutlarına hitap eden tutum soruları likert ölçeğine göre oluşturulmuş ve analiz edilmiştir. Sonuçlar, birbirleriyle ilişkilendirilerek, yabancı dil öğretiminde Türkiye bağlamıyla ilgili yararlı fikirler vermiştir.

In this study we aimed to investigate the attitudes of people who live in Turkey. The important factor in access to the respondents was the students of the Department of English Language Teaching, Atatürk University, who took the questionnaires with them to get the locals in their hometowns. The twenty-one attitude questions, which address the various dimensions of foreign language were asked and analyzed in the format of likert scale. The results were correlated, which provided us with beneficial suggestions on the foreign language education in Turkey.
