Exile Testimonio: A Critical Exegesis

Abstract

Contemporary literature exposes the unhidden facts that threaten power structures and questions history and historiography simultaneously. Literature has become more interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary because of the influence of cultural studies. Authenticity is called into doubt in Exile Testimonio, which also highlights the burden of the collective suffering that has been omitted from history books. Miracles can be performed using the power of language in literature because it highlights multiple races in a storey to reveal previously untold stories. Exile Testimonio's theoretical discourse relies heavily on the concepts of home and nativism. Displacement in the homeland of the Native Americans leads to mental and physical dislocation and disjunction. For many people today, the term "home" has taken on a multiplicity of meanings as a symbol of the silenced voices marginalised by political monopoly. Throughout the theoretical discourse of Exile Testimonio, culture plays a significant role, and the authors depict the indigenous' uprooting of the culture in their creative works. Secret Exile Testimonio themes have crept into Australian literature, and this study uses Kim Scott's work as a springboard to delve into the hardship of the country's founding citizens.
